» Mattancherry Palace (Dutch Palace):
Built by the Portuguese in 1557 and exhibited to Raja Veera Kerala Varma of Cochin, the castle was remodeled in 1663 by the Dutch. A Scenic island close to the city of Ernakulam, Bolghatty is celebrated for the Bolghatty Palace worked by the Dutch in 1744 AD. This castle, once the living arrangement of the British occupant of Cochin, is presently a KTDC (Kerala Tourism Development Corporation) lodging.
