The Present Amet Haveli Was worked amid the lead of Maharana Jagat Singh Ji –2nd of Udaipur between 1734-1752 A.D. He was the developer of the well known Jag Niwas which is by and by known as Lake Palace. All the stone work and crude materials for the development of Lake Palace were carried from the open land arranged by exhibit day AMET HAVELI. The Haveli was conceded to Rawat Pratap Singh Ji of Amet Son of Fateh Singh Ji around 1783 A.D.by Maharana Bheem Singhji of Mewar. Rawat Pratap Singhji of Amet battled intrepidly and deflected an up and coming assault by Maratha’s on Mewar. The thikana of Amet is arranged 100 kms. in the north east of Udaipur on the waterway Chandarabhaga. This thikana (respectable region) is of incomparable Historic significance in Mewar. The birthplace of the Amet family can be followed down from Chunda Ji. He was the eldest child “The beneficiary – evident” of Rana Lakha of Chittor, Mewar. He surrendered the honored position of Mewar state for his young stride sibling Mokal Ji. For this incredible yield he is alluded in old stories and history as Bhishma Pitamaha of Mewar.
